Evan Li

Evan Li is a New York City-based filmmaker and visual storyteller with a BFA in Film Production from Brooklyn College. With a strong background in cinematography, editing, and documentary work, Evan brings a thoughtful, collaborative approach to every project. He has worked across a range of roles—Director of Photography, Producer, Editor, and Sound Mixer—on independent films and documentaries.

Evan’s experience spans both on-set and post-production environments, including narrative shorts, branded content, live event coverage, and social media campaigns. He has collaborated with creative teams at organizations such as Hook Arts Media, OS Studios, and Smashbox Studios, and has contributed to major productions and events like New York Fashion Week and the Red Hook Conservancy’s environmental initiatives.

With skills in Adobe Creative Suite, sound mixing, and project management, Evan is passionate about impactful storytelling that bridges community, culture, and identity. He continues to explore themes rooted in social awareness, youth development, and underrepresented voices through his work in documentary, fiction, and experimental film.
