About the Event
“Stoop Chat with Jimmy and Shanaya” is a 13-minute, touching, intergenerational conversation between two Brooklyn neighbors, as captured on film.
Join us to screen the award-winning documentary, then listen in on a discussion with filmmaker Marj Kleinman, along with the two neighbors who star in it, Jimmy Palmaro and Shanaya Perkins. The conversation will be moderated by CoGenerate Senior Fellow and founder of The Legacy Project, Arielle Galinsky.
Founded by Kleinman, Stoop Stories™ connects, supports, and celebrates NYC neighbors through documentary storytelling and community programs. Its mission is to increase social connection, preserve neighborhood stories, and revitalize communities through stoop culture and intergenerational connections.
This free, 60-minute webinar is part of CoGen Solutions to Social Isolation and Loneliness, a year-long initiative to identify the most promising ideas for bringing older and younger people together in ways that reduce social isolation and loneliness.
All are welcome and attendance is free, but advance registration is required.
