Peter Afriyie is a Ghanaian-American documentary photographer and visual storyteller from New York City. Informed by street photography and the idiosyncrasies of urban life, his work encompasses diverse genres including documentary, portraiture, film stills, and fine art. Starting with a camera gifted to him and a desire to question the world, Peter soon realized the power of visuals as a medium for inspiration and a tool for social change.
An avid cyclist, you can often spot him riding through the streets of the city, camera ready at his hip. Peter is currently a graduate photojournalism student at George Washington University’s Corcoran School of the Arts & Design.
