Jenna Carrens is an artist, writer, and arts non-profit consultant from Austin, TX. Jenna’s work is centered around art and storytelling at the intersection of public space where she builds creative narratives through unexpected collaborations. She is inspired by the tasks and stories of the daily mundane and values transformational growth through artistic collaboration. Her stories have appeared in Weekly Humorist, Points in Case, and Little Old Lady Comedy.
Jenna has served as Executive Director of The Sketchbook Project, Exhibition Designer for Fortlandia’s Community Garden, Development Director at Forklift Danceworks, Event Manager at Big Medium, Co-Producer of You’re Here at SXSW, and Teacher / Program Coordinator at Austin Bat Cave. She also founded and ran Attendance Records, a student-run record label for public school students that brought musicians and artists into public schools to encourage and spark creativity through free artistic programming.
She currently resides in Prospect Heights with her 12 year old Newfoundland dog, Stella.
